![]() Searching out the perfect apples is fun for all of us, and we can sample the local wares until our stomachs hurt. ![]() That being said, the apple orchard is still my top “pick” for fall fun. (Be prepared to pay for those activities – the experience isn’t cheap.) There are petting zoos and jumping pillows and mini train rides and corn pits and all kinds of other activities for the kids. Nowadays, apple picking is a full experience - actually harvesting fruit from the trees is almost an afterthought. (Don’t worry: I learned from the Summer Bucket List experience and kept our fall list to a more manageable number.)Īpologies in advance for the long post, but here’s what you need to know to get started. I rounded up my favorite ways to celebrate the autumn season as a family with my cute printable Fall Family Bucket List. And there are an endless number of fun fall activities to keep your family busy. Harvest flavors of pumpkin and cranberry and cinnamon are everywhere. Fall is my favorite season: The weather is perfect for being outside, not too hot and not too buggy. I, for one, am more than ready to say goodbye to the 90-degree days we’ve had this week and welcome crisp fall air at last with open arms and cozy cardigans. It's maddening when you need some joyous deer but you just spent them all on flowers or something.Sunday marks the first official day of fall. Lastly, make sure you save a bit of each essence for quests, especially in the later game. Again, I save all but the first of a regularly spawning one. Though I generally find the critters for quests to be easy to find in the moment so I don't use the space for them.Īlso, collect a pile of shells to have on hand. I say save a big pile of common fish and an easy to catch critter which can be stored in one pile. They used to be more specific - like rare, uncommon, etc, but they seemed to have lessened that difficulty. Save a pile of raw nuts for quests as well. Vegetables I save full piles of the basic mushrooms and basic potatoes for quests, but a stack of 3-5 of each of the other mushrooms and roots veggies for throwing to the imps. Save a single pile of fruit - berries are smartest as the are 1:1 ratio when burned, so less loss of roasted fruit. Just burn ore - never a need for it raw after donating. I pre-ordered and the game has changed some, but. I can't remember if raw fruit has ever been requested, but if I've recently harvested all my trees, processed the fruit, and THEN need some extra, a stack of fruit has been handy. You can use a few for crafting, but make sure to save more than you use.Įdit: About the fruit: I do keep one stack of one type of raw fruit just in case. But you do want to hang onto the resulting ingots as much as possible. There's no reason to keep it (that I've found) in ore form. Ore: burn it all after giving one of each type to Captain Snout. Other items are better money-makers anyway. Vegetables: Imps occasionally want specific vegetables and I've found the basic imp essence to be a little rare for me, so I keep all my raw vegetables in inventory until I specifically need roasted vegetables. There are requests for critters, but they are for specific critters that only spawn when you get the quest, not the critters usually around the island, so feel free to sell them all.įruit: it seems to be safe to burn all fruit and just keep some roasted fruit on hand if needed for animals or specific recipe requests, but otherwise turn it all into tinctures and sell. After a couple weeks, I kept a small inventory of a couple of the rarer fish, but they've never like, saved the day. ![]() There are eventually requests for certain rarities of fish, but I have found that it is entirely possible to catch the needed fish on the same day. I'm on day 39 or 40, so there might be different answers from longer-term players, but:
